COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
SpaceChain CEO Zee Zheng delivers a lunch talk at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Universityin Singapore. Students who attended the talk gained insights on space technology and why the integration of blockchain is the future.
While at the 35th Space Symposium 2019 in Colorado Springs, SpaceChain CEO Zee Zheng catches up with NanoRacks CEO Jeff Manber whotackles the importance of blockchain in space and how SpaceChain is leading the way. Watch full video here.
TECHNICAL PROGRESS
Blockchain node in space
- The team completed the initial design of the public key exchange verification mechanism in the node initialization phase.
- The public key exchange verification mechanism is added in order to prevent monitoring information in the communication channel between the node and the SPC server in the initialization phase
- Without this, the intermediary can monitor and tamper the encrypted information of both parties by replacing the public keys of the two parties without the awareness of the node and the SPC server.
- The current verification mechanism is completed by adding two authentication interactions after exchanging public keys between the two parties.
- It is necessary to add an additional two satellite communications during the node initialization phase. The team is currently optimizing the verification mechanism.
